Fees & Quotes
No surprises: every appointment is quoted in writing and agreed before any service begins.
RL Notary does not publish a one-size price list, because the honest price depends on the document, the distance and the filings your matter needs. What we promise instead is simple: tell us what you need, and you receive a written, itemized quote before your appointment — the price you agree to is the price you pay.
Maryland notarial fees themselves are set by state law; on top of the notarial act, the quote reflects the mobile service — travel to you, scheduling outside standard hours when needed, and the handling your documents require.
What Affects Your Quote
The notarial act
The number of signatures and documents to be notarized — acknowledgments, jurats, oaths and copy certifications are each separate acts.
Travel distance
Mobile service is priced by distance from Beltsville and the time your appointment needs — a single signature nearby is not priced like an evening closing across the region.
Timing
Same-day, late-evening, weekend and holiday appointments can affect the quote; standard daytime appointments are the most economical.
Apostille filings
For apostille work, Secretary of State and U.S. Department of State filing fees are government charges passed through at cost, plus the handling of any clerk certification, submission and tracking.
Courier & shipping
If documents must be shipped or couriered — to a state capital, an embassy or back to you — those costs are itemized in the quote.
Translation
Certified translation is quoted per document, based on length and language pair (Hebrew, Russian or Spanish, to or from English).
How Quoting Works
- Call or text (202) 875-6829, or send the form, with your location, document type and preferred time.
- You receive a written quote covering the notarial service, travel and any government filing fees.
- If the quote works for you, we confirm the appointment — nothing is charged for a service you did not agree to.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the quote really free?
Yes. Quotes are free and carry no obligation — you only pay for the appointment you book.
Are government apostille fees included?
They are itemized in your written quote and passed through at cost — the state or U.S. Department of State charges what it charges, and you see the exact line before you agree.
What if my appointment needs more signatures than planned?
Tell us when you book and we will price it correctly up front. If something genuinely changes on site, any difference is explained and agreed before the extra act is performed.
